For those who think they can purchase anything that rivals the construction quality and A/V utility for the money in even higher end furniture stores, trust me, you won’t. Furniture retailers and other on line vendors are often passing consoles off as entertainment centers. Besides the fact that many are more costly, most of them are not as well crafted as this, most won’t take many center channel speakers inside and NONE I saw will properly fit turntables. I have a large Technics SL-1200 MKII table disc jockeys use that fits right inside the FT82WSG with the dust cover still on and raised by simply removing a shelf. The soft close storage drawers under the center channel shelf are also a nice touch and a great reason to purchase the 82” version. For those who do not wish to sacrifice elegant craftsmanship or A/V performance at an outstanding price, remember this hands down winner comes from a company that is very aptly named!
